A Touch Of Home

www.atouchofhome.us

A group of good friends and members of Crossroads Church started sending boxes in 2003 from Cottage Grove, MN to members of our military overseas.  We packed the boxes in a member's basement!  In November 2009, we moved the packing to the new church facility in Woodbury, MN, and we continue to pack on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Ways to Serve

Pack Boxes!

The second Saturday of each month, we meet at Crossroads Woodbury campus and pack from 9:30am until we're done....usually about 2 hours.  All ages are welcome!

Donate Items!

The list on the left side lists the items that are needed for packing!   You may bring them the day of packing or you can drop them off at the church during normal business hours with a note that the donation is for ATOH.

To find out more or to add a troop member to the list, please contact Linda Lehrke by email at lll@mntelevision.com

Next Serving Date

The next ATOH packing is on Saturday, May 12th starting at 9:30 am. The types of donations we are looking for are: home baked treats* (vacuum sealed if possible), jerky, gatorade/powerade drink mix packets, ground coffee, protein (Clif, Power) bars, instant soups, tube socks (over the calf - not crew), boot sole inserts, gum, batteries (AA & AAAsize), energy/power shots (Monster), nuts, puzzle books, hard candy, oatmeal packets, small bottles of hand sanitizer, baby wipes, sandwich & snack size plastic bags, Sunday Parade magazines, comic strips and Sportsmen magazines. Also, this month we are doing a baseball theme for the boxes so we would love to haveitems donated that arebaseball related: peanuts, popcorn, cracker jacks, sunflower seeds, items with baseballs on them, etc.

* All homemade breads should be left whole as mold can result at the cut area. Suggestion would be to use the small disposable pans for baking and leave the breads in the pans for shipping.

We are looking for the book, “Too Busy Not to Pray" by Bill Hybels to send to the troops. If you have a copy and would like to donate it to ATOH, please place it in the ATOH basket in the CrossWalk children’s area at church.
