As I write this, I’m also working on the sermon that the FUSION (youth group) gang will be hearing tonight. It’s based on the scripture found in Luke 8:40-43 where the woman reaches out and touches Jesus’s robe to be healed from something that had been plaguing her for 12 years.
I am reminded again of the faith that it took for her to venture into the crowd (she legally shouldn’t have been there), and reach out in hope of healing.
I begin to think of myself. What are the things in my life that I have just come to accept as being my reality, what plagues me that I haven’t reached out asking to be released from? What about you?
Next I think about our church and campus. What is it that God is willing and able to change, if we only ask? I, personally, am praying that God would continue to call the people to our campus that He wants there – so that we would be fully equipped to accomplish God’s calling for our church family.
START ASKING! Let’s watch as He provides in His amazing way.
