Eagan Cyber Update

March 5, 2010

It was just about two years ago that Barb, Brandon and I were looking for church to call home and stopped in for a visit at a place called Crossroads Church in Cottage Grove. We enjoyed the service and wondered why something this authentic and dynamic couldn’t be in our part of town. We weren’t aware of what was happening behind the scenes, but pebbles were being tossed around about expanding the ministry of Crossroads Church. It wasn’t long before those ripples resulted in the church in Eagan where I now have the privilege of serving as Campus Pastor. My family has found a lot more than just a place to attend on Sunday’s. We’ve found friends for life, co-workers full of enthusiasm and creativity, and a place to call home. My hope is that you are finding the same to be true in your own life as well.

Thanks for being the kind of people who are willing to take risks to reach our community. In the next few weeks we’ll be exploring how we can make even more ripples. We’re expecting that some of the ripples will turn into waves. Waves can splash and splashes get stuff wet! I love being part of place that’s not afraid to “get messy” once in a while. To be part of the action, be sure to sign up for one of our Eagan-specific Spotlight Events taking place next Wednesday at either 6:00 or 7:30 PM. The event will include coffee, dessert, information and inspiration – what more could you ask for? Registration is required and you can do that at www.therippleeffect.cc Childcare is also available if you register for it by Sunday evening.

Can you say N-2? Next Saturday, March13, meet at the church at 9:30 am for Living out Love “Bingo Edition.” We will car pool down to the Augustana Care Center in Apple Valley, visit with the residents, and help transport them to and from the bingo room. Then we’ll have a blast playing BINGO together! It’s a fun and meaningful way to start those ripples rolling! Families with children are welcome to volunteer. Please sign up on Sunday at the Welcome Center desk.

Together, we’re making a difference!
