Small deeds done in great love changes the world one life at a time.
Our dream is that each person at Crossroads finds a place to serve both inside the church and outside of it. We dream this for your sake (everyone needs something meaningful to do) and for the sake of the world (everyone needs Jesus).
When we volunteer inside the building, we are helping people get to know Jesus by welcoming them into the building, mentoring their children or teen, and serving them hot delicious coffee, just to name a few. The weekends wouldn’t happen without the hundreds of volunteers who show up all seven days of the week.
When we volunteer outside of the building, we are helping people see Jesus through good deeds. We are the Church! When we give our time and resources, we show people God’s love in tangible ways. They get to see a smiling face, feel a hug, share a meal, receive a letter, or benefit from a sacrificial gift...all in the name of Jesus. Small deeds done in great love changes the world one life at a time.
Not all of our missions’ partners are Christian or share our same beliefs, however, we know that God calls us to work together. Some of our partners are making great strides in saving lives and working with the marginalized, which is right where Jesus served. We wouldn’t want to be turned away because we are a church and we don’t want to turn away others because they aren’t Christians. Reconciliation is a beautiful place. So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James 2:17 (NLT)
