Hostage (Eagan)
The Bible uses the image of a race to describe the Christian life. We are to move forward, pursuing God and His purpose for us. But far too often, something impedes our progress…something gets a grip on us and takes us hostage. Things like bitterness, addictions, pride, or secret shame capture us and keep us from the life God has for us. Our goal in this new series is to break free and “…strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily slows our progress” and “…run with endurance the race that God has set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1)
