Update from Pastor James

Crossroads Family,

James Brown here again. Pastor Phil is still sunnin’ it up in Isla Mujeres, Mexico and he just sent some of the staff this picture with the following heading:

"Having a cup of coffee and thinking of all of you."

I actually thought that was kind of cruel...because, even though it isn’t looking like it, it is “beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!”

Since it is finally starting to get a little colder, I thought I would offer you a few ideas on how to keep warm over the next few weeks.

ATTEND COMEDY SPORTZ - You will keep warm laughing at this fast-paced, interactive, improv comedy show. It is similar in style to “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students in advance (prices go up $2 at the door). You can purchase tickets at the Youth Booth on the weekend or reserve tickets by emailing Jake Kerschner. All proceeds from this event benefit summer youth mission trips.

JOIN A SMALL GROUP - You will keep warm drinking coffee, tea, or hot cider at one of the 40+ Crossroads Small Groups. If you aren’t signed up, make sure to pick up a catalog in the lobby this weekend or check out all the options online. Groups begin meeting the week of January 22nd, and registration will remain open through January 29th. Groups are filling up fast, so don’t miss out on your ticket to transformation. Stay warm by joining a Small Group today.

SHOW UP AT THE 11:15 SERVICE? - You will keep warm, through sheer body heat alone, if you show up at this service time on Sundays. Last weekend, we had 750 people show up and the place was packed. We kept warm, but it was awkward. So, I strongly encourage you to think about attending one of the other two services. We promise to make sure that the heat is on Saturday @ 4:15 & Sunday @ 9:15 so that you can keep warm in comfort!*

Just wanted to give you a few ways to keep warm in the upcoming weeks. I look forward to seeing you this weekend for the 2nd installment of our teaching series called “Life Apps.”

[*Evenly attended services are important...but it will be even more so this weekend. We need the space because we have something very special planned.]
