March 13 Living Out Love Event

Please join us on Saturday, March 13, as we serve our community and extend God’s love! Please feel free to invite a friend as everyone is welcome.

Eagan:

Please stop by the Living Out Love table in the lobby to sign up for either event!

Augustana Care Center (Apple Valley)We will be playing Bingo and enjoying some music with the residents at the center.  We'll meet at church at 9:30 and return about noon.  Kids are welcome to join us.

Bundles of Love: We will be making newborn & preemie clothing and bedding to be given to those in need. Please bring a sewing machine or knitting needles & come join us. Fabric, patterns and yarn are supplied. You can even pick up a project & take it home to work on if you like. If anyone has an iron or ironing board they would care to donate for this project, please let Karen know. For more information on Bundles of Love please call Karen McCollum at 651-493-0586.

Woodbury:

We’ll start at 8:30am and wrap up before noon! *Space is limited at some venues. Please come early have first choice.*

A Touch of Home will be packing boxes to send to soldiers who are currently overseas. If you are interested in donating items to pack, please have it to church by 8:30 am on Saturday the 13th. Items in high demand are jerky, Powerbars (protein / energy bars), nuts, trail mix, drink mix packets (single serving - Crystal Light, Gatorade, etc), small hard candy and of course baked cookies.

Bundles of Love will be making baby blankets, bibs, clothing and more in our café’ area. Please bring a sewing machine, serger, knitting needles, or crochet hooks. All material is supplied. You don’t have to know how to knit or sew to help!

Living Out Love will have a unique serving opportunity for adults only. We’ll be assisting in cleaning out a home of a couple in danger of eviction. Please dress in clothes that you won’t mind getting dirty. If you would like to guarantee serving in this capacity, please contact Lisa Adams.

Norris Square (in Cottage Grove) has invited us to play Bingo and socialize with adults at their assisted living facility.

Praxis will be taking people to downtown St. Paul to serve the homeless by handing out bottled water and granola bars. Please dress for the weather!

Dakota Woodlands
A shelter in Eagan for homeless women and children. We will be preparing and serving brunch to those staying at the shelter. Time: 9 a.m. - 12:30pm

January 9, Living Out Love Event

Eagan Campus will not be having an event this month due to an unforeseen circumstance with the facility we were planning on serving.

Please join us on Saturday the 12th, as we serve our community and extend God’s love! We’ll start at 8:30am and wrap up before noon. Feel free to invite a friend as everyone is welcome.

At Eagan we'll be leaving the church at 8:15 am and heading over to Woodbury to participate in LOL as one group.

December Living Out Love

We are looking for specific donations for our December Living Out Love Event. If you can contribute one of the following items, please drop them off at either campus by December 6:

  1. $20 gift cards for Target or Walmart.
  2. Fleece donations in 2 yard increments to be made into blankets.

Living Out Love

What: A way to serve our communities and live out love.

Where: At the Woodbury campuses.

When: Every second Saturday of the month, from 8:30am - 12:00pm.

Who: Open to everyone. Parents are welcome to bring their kids who are at least 5 years old.

Things to Know: Dress comfortably and for the weather. You can and will get dirty. No pre-registration is required…just show up at either location.
