Missions at Crossroads

Our desire is to be used by God so that His presence will be deeply experienced in the lives of people locally and globally. At Crossroads Church we know that people's spiritual and physical needs are tied together. This is why the ministries we support are also committed to sharing God's love and truth in ways that meet the needs of the whole person.

As a part of this commitment at least 10% of all offerings given to Crossroads Church are used for missions. To learn about the ministries we help support, click a menu item bellow.

Our Vision
Inspired by the new community Jesus started soon after His resurrection, we believe God is calling us to an enactment of His loving reconciliation in St. Paul, MN. This reconciliation will be lived out through our community as we live in loving peace with God, ourselves, each other and all creation. As we gather for worship, as we serve those near us and those afar, we seek to live this model.

If you have any questions about The Gallery, please don't hesitate to email Pastor Brad Kindall at bradkindall@gallerycovenant.org

International Justice Missions Update

Dear Crossroads Church,
As one of our partners in the fight against violent oppression, it is our pleasure to welcome you to IJM’s Justice Church Program. Your financial investment yields high returns: an advocate showing up, a victim set free, and perpetrators held accountable for their abuse.

It is a great encouragement to the entire IJM team around the world that you are walking with us in this important work, and that you have for so many years. Injustice can be stopped, but it takes the courage of a community like yours that is no longer accepting the current realities as good enough. Thank you for standing on the side of justice.

We want to share with you our latest podcast, Heroes Undercover, dedicated to IJM’s global corps of investigators. Listen/download here! In this podcast, host Amy Roth takes you undercover, deep into ongoing covert operations around the world, exploring the dangers IJM investigators face and the life-changing results that make their risks so worthwhile.

On the podcast web page, you will find a powerful slideshow that accompanies the podcast, a supplemental interview with IJM Vice President of Investigations Jeff Blom and much more. You can also find other 2009 podcasts on this page.

Thank you again for your partnership. It is only because of your prayers that IJM can send investigators, lawyers, and social workers to uncover injustice and to bring rescue to those who need it most.

Gratefully,  IJM Church Mobilization Team

Giving Gifts to Your Sponsored Child
Wondering what to do for your sponsored child for Christmas or their birthday? You can specify a monetary gift to be sent directly to your child’s family by requesting a “Gift Notification” (GN). This GN is a monetary gift of over $75 but less than $500.

You can do this in one of two ways:
Write a check to World Vision and put your child’s ID number and name on the memo line, including a note that it is for a gift notification. Send it to our local World Vision Office, c/o Joanna Johnson, 4325 Upton Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55410. For questions, call 612-920-0455, ext. 5 or email jojohnso@worldvision.org.

Or call the national World Vision office at 1-800-777-5777 and request a Gift Notification using your credit card.

Once the gift arrives in the child’s country, the staff go to meet with the child and their family and determine what is most needed. Together they purchase the item, and usually send a thank you letter (and sometimes even a picture!). It is a wonderful way to make a gift to your sponsored child and makes a huge difference in their lives.

FAQS:
“I haven’t received any info. in the mail yet on the child I sponsored.”
Please contact the Mpls. Office of World Vision at 612-920-0455 ext. 5 and they can doublecheck the status for you.

“Can I send stuff to my sponsored child?”
Any time during the year, sponsors are encouraged to send a letter and photos. You can enclose small, flat, inexpensive items with your letter as long as they fit into a
6” x 9” envelop. In general, physical gifts sent in packages to your sponsored child are not encouraged due to high import duties and restrictions by foreign governments.
