Money and ministry are closely connected. It takes money to impact the lives of over 400 kids, 300 teens, and well over 1,000 adults each week at Crossroads. It takes money to dig wells for clean drinking water or build homes for orphans in Swaziland, Africa. It takes money to set captives free and stand up for victims of sexual abuse in dark places in the world. It takes money to plant a daughter church in St. Paul or launch an additional Crossroads campus in Eagan. It takes money to keep lights on, snow shoveled, and buildings maintained.
So…thanks for “getting that” and thanks for generously giving to God’s work through Crossroads Church.

Q: What methods of payment can be used?
The system is set up to accept contributions from either online checks or from Discover, Visa, American Express, or MasterCard credit cards. The system will accept either one time contributions or it can be set up for recurring contributions.
Q: If we want to help people get out of debt, why does Crossroads accept credit card donations?
Used within the parameters, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases.
Many people utilize them in place of checks or cash throughout the month, and then pay off the balance in
full. For these people, we offer the option of using a debit or credit card to give.
We do not encourage the creation of credit card debt in order to make contributions to Crossroads Church.
Q: Can I try this just once?
Yes, you can test online giving. The default setting is one time giving. Recurring payments can be set up for multiple times per month, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.
Q: What accounts may I contribute to?
The system is set up to accept contributions to Crossroads Church general fund (Eagan or Woodbury), Benevolence Fund, and the Ripple Effect. You must enter a separate schedule for each fund that you would like to contribute to.
Q: When may I begin using the online giving system?
The system is ready to go. It is available 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Simply click on the box above. You select the date when the funds are transferred from you account to Crossroads.
Q: Why do I have to enter my credit card number every time I log in?
Your information is not stored on the website where you enter the details for security reasons. The details of the recurring transaction are stored with the financial institution.
Q: Why can’t I select multiple funds with one schedule and split the money between them?
To make sure funds are applied correctly and can be modified correctly, the website is set up to do one transaction at a time. This also makes paying for events and registering online a stream lined process.
Q: Do I pay additional fees to give online?
Online giving does not cost you anything. You select the dollar amount for your gift. That is the dollar amount that will be recognized as your donation. No costs or fees.
Q: How do I change details for my giving that I have already set up?
You are able to make changes by logging into your account and editing any of the details about your giving, including the amount, day and frequency. If you would like to change your personal information, including address, email, or your phone numbers, please click HERE and select "Update your profile" on the right hand side.
Q: What if I change banks or need to change my card?
You are able to log into your account and "edit" or "delete" your current scheduled giving. Once you have deleted the contributions that you had set up, you click on "Schedule New Contribution".
For questions or concerns, please use the contact information on the left side of this page.
Q: When I give to Crossroads where does the money go?
It goes into the General Fund that pays for everything from staff salaries to all the various ministries (kids, teens, adult, worship, caring, hospitality, etc.) to facility expenses to our work (missions) throughout the world. This General Fund is presented in budget format to the congregation at our Annual Meeting each May.
Q: Are there other “funds” people give to?
Yes, there are occasionally special fund drives that are undertaken for special needs and opportunities. We are in the midst of a 3 year fund drive called “The Ripple Campaign”. To find out more about this campaign, please click HERE. There is also a designated “benevolence fund” that goes to help those in our church family who are in need of temporary assistance.
Q: How do I know the ushers (or pastors) don’t take the money and skim some off the top for themselves?
No single person is allowed to count or handle the money alone. A detailed system of accountability is built into the collection and deposit of the money. We also follow strict budgetary policies and have a regular audit done. No pastoral staff member has any access to writing checks or making withdrawals from the church’s checking or savings account.
Q: How much money does Crossroads give to God’s work outside the walls of the church?
Over 10% is invested in highly screened Christian ministries and missions organizations throughout the world. For a list of our missions work, click here for our Missions page and then click the Local and Global links from the brown menu on the left.
Q: Do our pastors drive BMW’s and live in mansions and make lots of money?
No! Our pastors make on average what school teachers make (with tenure and education factored in)—yet work 12 months of the year.
Q: How much am I expected to give?
The teaching of the Bible is that you are to give sacrificially, cheerfully, regularly, and proportionately. The benchmark we strive for is “the tithe,” which is a tenth of our income given back to God. We believe this is a good goal. No one will come to your door hounding you for money. And, the only ones who will know what you give are our financial treasurer and assistant treasurer.
Q: I have specific questions about the budget. Can I get a copy of it?
Absolutely. Copies are available in a document called The Annual Report and are available by contacting the church office. You may also field any questions to the Board of Elders or the Church Treasurer. Call the office for contact information (651-294-7700).
