Shut Down

It's the third week of July and we are in a season of "shut down."  The state of Minnesota is shut down, the NFL is shut down, and even the KFC in Cottage Grove just shut down.  Three of my favorite things!  What's not shut down?  God's kingdom.  It never shuts down.

It might be shut down mode everywhere else, but Jesus is still in business.  His followers are still in business. This week, 11 high school students from Crossroads head to Swaziland Africa to care for orphans.  On July 30th, a group from Crossroads will create a "Paintothon."   Christ and his Church are always up to something!  Are you?

And in the midst of shut downs, trips to Africa, and painting, Crossroads' Youth Ministry is actively looking for awesome adults to work with our students.  Please contact me if you might be able to help lead a small group, welcome kids at the door, or serve in our cafe Tuesday or Wednesday nights.

Have a great week and stay cool!
