Year-end 2011

Hi Crossroads.  We ended the year with a BANG!  Our Christmas services went very well.  We had over 4,650 people attend one of our nine services (easily an all-time record).  On top of that, at least 80 of them said “YES!” to Jesus.  Awesome stuff.

I’ve heard so many good stories from Christmas.  Stories like:  “I brought my brother with me today, and he prayed to receive Christ into his life!”  Or, “The neighbor I’ve been praying for finally came…and loved the service…and is coming back!”

A big thanks to the ensemble (wow!), all the musicians, greeters, café workers, ushers, Prayer Team, children’s helpers, white glove team (they clean between services), decorators (Gary Miller and his team are fantastic), techies, parking lot helpers, etc.  And, a huge thanks to all of you who invited friends to one of the services.  It was a total team effort.  I’m honored to be part of this movement!

THIS WEEKEND
Jake Kerschner, Director of Student Ministries, is preaching.  Come out and see why teens flock to church on Wednesday nights and are riveted by his teaching.  I can’t think of a better way to launch into a new year that spending some time at church.  We’ll have our normal schedule at both campuses.

YEAR-END GIVING
To get a donation credited for 2011, your check or deposit must be received by December 31.  That means money placed in the Offering Bags on Saturday (Woodbury) counts.  If you’re sending in a check via the mail it must be postmarked by December 31.

I want to encourage you to make a sacrificial year-end donation to YOUR church.  We’ve been running about $7,000 a week short of our financial goals.  Let’s see if we can make up some lost ground between now and January 1.  As usual, I encourage you to go to our website and make a donation that way (and set up on-line giving) at www.crossroadschurch.cc/onlinegiving

It’s been a great year.  We have so much to be thankful for.  God has been faithful…and will continue to be so as we enter 2012.

Grateful for your partnership,

Pastor Phil
